![]() It's normal to experience some discomfort or physical pain when you start to meditate for the first time. Some individuals, not all, experience physical pain or emotional turmoil when they first achieve silence of the mind and open the gateway to cosmic energy. Much cleansing occurs within both your physical body complex and subtle spirit body. Some stored-up negative energies are dislodging and beginning to clear, causing some physical symptoms to occur. Headaches are common, especially at the top of the head or the forehead due to the pineal gland, or third eye, getting a work-out that it's not used to. When you close your eyes the darkness activates the pineal gland, which then secretes melatonin into your cerebral fluid which starts the process of sleep. You are conscious however during meditation, but the same effect is felt – meditation is conscious sleep. Turn out the lights, the pineal gland activates and the gateway to intelligent infinity opens. You use your pineal gland during sleep and at certain points of the day while subconsciously sending and receiving energies and communications to and from the spirit world. However, the process of meditation gives your pineal gland a more strenuous workout than usual. ![]() Your higher self remembers all that you have ever been through, every incarnation you've had. The subconscious mind is the link between you today and your previous selves. Sometimes emotions and memories arise within us that have no discernible origin, they are triggered in certain situations. Unable to find the cause in this life, we begin to suspect that they came from a past life. Here are 8 ways to know you're remembering a past life, and this helps you to know what your previous lifetimes were. Music Moves You You hear an old song or melody, be it Classical, Baroque, Opera, Native American, Ragtime, Swing, Disco, or even something else; and you feel like you're reminiscing. But what are you reminiscing about? When I hear Vera Lynn, a singer who was enormously popular during the Second World War, I am almost brought to tears. Emotions, that are not necessarily my own, come flooding back and I perceive these emotions as belonging to another part of me, a former aspect of myself. ![]() Orbs show up as circles or spheres of white light, on photographs, video, and with the naked eye. As well as white, orbs are occasionally blue, yellow, green or red. An orb may have shown up in one of your photos, perhaps next to a family member or friend, and now you're wondering what on earth it could be. What Are Orbs? Dust Particles, Pollen Or An Insect. The usual suspects are dust particles and pollen, where the light from the flash is reflected off such material and back into the lens. The particle could be up ahead or even on the lens. Orbs are often still visible however, even when the flash is disabled. A light source behind the photographer, instead of the flash, can also cause dust particles to illuminate, but again, as with the photograph above, the photographer (my husband) was in darkness, with only the light of the moon high up ahead. Strange, isn't it? ![]() You might suspect that you have built up negative karma and want to know how to release it. Perhaps unfortunate events are happening all the time, or you're feeling down on your luck. Maybe the question; 'Why does this keep happening to me?', regularly comes to mind. All is well, here are some effective ways to release karma. Just Quick, What Is Karma All About? Karma is cause and effect. It results from our actions, and is accumulated through performing those actions. Life is a journey of learning and experience, and for this reason, our soul loves to take an incarnation on planet Earth; it is rich is varied experiences. Karma is not a punishment, it is a tool for growth. Our soul wishes to learn and ascend, consciousness by its very nature must evolve. We learn from the actions we take, both positive and negative, even if we don't realize we are learning. We must also experience the polar opposite of those experiences in order to understand both sides of the story. ![]() It's likely you already realize that life is eternal and that this lifetime is one among many. Before we reincarnate, our soul usually makes a number of decisions about what this lifetime will hold, and agrees them with the beings who support us. Here are eight things you likely agreed to before you were born, and some reasons why you might have agreed to them. To Be Here You agreed to embark on a new lifetime of learning and experience before you were born. You wouldn't be on Earth if you hadn't agreed to incarnate here. There are other third density planets in the universe, but you chose to incarnate on Earth. Your soul was aware of what a human life would entail and accepted challenge. Therefore, one thing's for sure, you agreed to be a human again (or for the first time), before you were even born. To Both The Positive And The Negative ![]() Anxiety can begin to surface during spiritual awakening. This anxiety is partly due to the information we uncover changing our perceptions, partly the disintegration of the self, and because the subconscious mind is bringing up anything and everything we have neglected to heal. Some people have a beautiful and peaceful awakening, and that's wonderful. In my experience however, I have found that the majority go through some sort of dark or anxious transition process. This phase in our spiritual awakening can last for weeks, months or even several years; depending on the strength of our deep-rooted 3D beliefs, dependency on 3D reality and the amount of subconscious healing (inner work) required. If you are going through the anxiety phase of spiritual awakening, I want you to know that you are not alone, that it is a necessary transition and that you will emerge from it, stronger than ever before. What Causes Anxiety During Spiritual Awakening? ![]() The art of transcending is key to a peaceful mind. To 'transcend', means to 'go beyond' or 'go further than'. We might consider going beyond or further than our usual thought processes, our deep-rooted perceptions and beliefs. In a moment, I'll give you examples of things, situations, concepts and aspects of life, that we might want to transcend, bringing you a surprising amount of inner peace in a relatively short time. We react in certain ways in various situations, ways typical to us as individuals. Our usual emotions arise when someone is being disagreeable, we might adopt typical behaviors when facing a challenge, perhaps we make assumptions based on our deep-rooted belief systems, and perceive others around us in the same old ways we always have. All these have energetic consequences for us, so perhaps we can perceive things a little differently? ![]() Do you feel like there is less and less time in the day? That time is speeding up and you're unable to perform as many tasks within 24 hours? Well, you're not alone. Many feel like there are now only approximately 16 hours in a day. Here I explain both the logical and spiritual reasons why this may be. Can We Put It Down To Aging? One explanation for this is that as we age, we remember less information. As children grown up, they are like little sponges, soaking up huge amounts information that we as adults don't even think about. Take physics as an example; 'What happens when I drop a ball?' well, it goes down, it bounces or doesn't bounce depending on what it's made from. As we grow older, we already know more and more of the causes and the resulting effects that occur in our reality, not just physics, but social, economical, lifestyle, health aspects and more. Therefore, there is less information to absorb. This results in time seemingly speeding up, because when we look back, we subconsciously we perceive less new information, sensing a shorter passage of time. ![]() You may have had it easy, experiencing a gradual and beautiful spiritual awakening. Many however, experience a sudden awakening with accelerated stages of progression. Causes of spiritual awakening include; a sudden event (often traumatic), an accumulation of stressful circumstances, discovering new information that blows the mind wide open, or experiencing a paranormal event resulting in profound realizations about the true nature of reality. When we have a spiritual awakening, we discover a myriad of truths such as the metaphysical nature of reality and the true nature of our infinite, immortal selves. Stages of awakening are phases through which we progress, and the order of the stages can vary. Stages of Spiritual Awakening The Shock Stage During spiritual awakening our ego begins to break down. The ego is our all-encompassing sense of self, our self esteem, self image, how we perceive ourselves and our relationship with the world, it is our human self in this lifetime. If we experience a revelation, for example, that our reality is energetic and information-based rather physical, this can affect our concept of who and what we are. The ego therefore suffers. Events such as, seeing an apparition, having an out of body experience or receiving spirit contact via a medium; can change everything - does this mean none of us ever truly die? These kinds of sweeping changes within the psyche impact our concept of self, causing the ego to feel very unsafe indeed. It's like knocking the legs out from under a table. The ego construct is built upon a series of beliefs and perceptions. Many of these are taken away, leaving us wondering, who or what am I? ![]() Extrasensory perception or ESP refers to our natural god-given senses, outside of our normal five human senses. These senses are developing among many of us as we evolve and ascend. We may not realize we possess extrasensory perception, so the following 17 signs will help you to know for sure. 1. Intuitively Knowing What's Going To Happen This may happen more than you think. You 'just know' what an outcome will be, or you have a 'gut feeling' about the near future. You are reading the timeline ahead. We are 'one' with creation and being totally immersed in its energy, we read the information it contains, past, present or future. This is often felt as a sense of knowing (or claircognizance) or as mental images (clairvoyance) about what is coming up, both are forms of extrasensory perception. 2.
