Fractals & The Spiritual Nature Of Reality Fractals can help us to understand how our reality is created. They can be seen everywhere in nature. It's possible that our infinite energetic reality uses fractals to create everything there is. What Is A Fractal? ![]() Simply put, what is a fractal? A fractal is any geometrical structure that has detail on all scales of magnification. We're going to focus on the Mandelbrot set; this is a geometric shape that helps us to explain how the world works. It can be magnified forever, you can see more and more detail appearing as you magnify, and you see the Mandelbrot set pattern repeating over and over the deeper you go in different generations of Mandelbrot sets repeating themselves. You can magnify the fractal forever and find it's infinitely complex; but it's based on very simple principles. These fractals have only been produced in the last 50 years or so because they require computing power due to their infinite nature. Here is the equation for the Mandelbrot set: ![]() Numbers are chosen to represent each of the letters, and the equation feeds back on itself. The results from the equation become the input for the next, infinitely. The results of the equation, the Mandelbrot numbers, are coordinates or locations on a screen or on a plane, which produce a pattern, each produces a pixel. So, pixels are either created or not, depending on the outcome of the equation each time. The black bits are numbers heading towards zero, and the colored bits are numbers heading off into infinity. The different colors are chosen according to how quickly they are heading off into infinity, and the colors help us to perceive the complexity of what's going on. The fractal can be as big as the universe, but we focus only on one part. Zooming in, the Mandelbrot set itself repeats over and over but with incredible amounts of variations around it. There are infinite unique variations within the fractal and that's part of what I want to talk about. All is arising from one formula however, so even though the pattern is repeating and repeating itself, and you often see the Mandelbrot set appearing. Surrounding patterns are not smooth and continuous, they are often rough and with lots of variations. The fractal is elaborate and infinitely complicated, and sometimes there's so much variation that it appears random. ![]() Fractals In Our World You can see fractals in nature. A snowflake for example; the pattern repeats over and over again on a smaller scale like a fractal. In a fern you can see the overall shape is repeated in the branches, and in the leaves. Or a tree or rows of trees, flowers and clouds. Clouds may appear very random, but there's some sort of fractal pattern appearing if you look at it that way. If you observe a row of trees or bushes, the pattern is repeated in the tree itself and then in the branches and then the individual leaves and so on. Repeatable formulas can communicate these seemingly random shapes to us; so we suspect the Mandelbrot set can explain nature and therefore reality. Just taking this even further and contemplating this for a little while, we observe the repetitive nature of reality yet there are unique variations everywhere. Fractals could help to explain the cyclical nature of reality with variations. Here is a useful book going even further into the topic of fractals: Fractals: The Patterns of Chaos: Discovering a New Aesthetic of Art, Science, and Nature. One Energy, One Formula I've spoken many times before about the energetic, information based, nature of our reality, of how our consciousnesses are somehow part of one infinitely intelligent, infinite, energetic being, which one could term as God. Our consciousnesses are part of what they call the Unified Field. It's a unified field, one field, of information and energy, and we interact with it, each of us co-creating within this reality. If you look on the smallest level, and you may have learned this in chemistry class, all is energy. Atoms and their fundamental particles are energy, and yet everything appears solid. So, what I'm getting at, is that there must be some sort of code behind our reality, some formula for how it is formulated. Various sources such as The Law of One (The Ra Material) talk about reality being one infinite being, existing to learn and experience itself. That we are all part of this one being, as well as everything around us. We suspect that all consists of the same energy, yet we have gathered consciousness about us as individuals and are able to move about, do things, and have free will. Yet a table is not at that point yet, it too is a collection of atoms, of energy, but it is not sentient; but all the same energy anyway. ![]() More Examples Of Fractals In Reality Have you noticed how civilizations rise and fall? They tend to go through the same sort of cycles politically, economically, and socially, before they fall, and then new civilizations rise again. An example of a repetitive pattern seen in nature is the golden ratio, which could be part of this one infinite fractal of the programming of our reality. You see The Golden Ratio throughout all nature. Our DNA looks fractal in nature, as well as how our cells divide and multiply. We also go through cycles of birth, life and death. Many people don't believe in astrology but I know these cycles represent a lot for me and others. It's funny how those born at certain times of the year or within certain years, share very similar characteristics. These cycles may be part of the programming of reality, allocating us personality biases, leanings, various different wants, needs and preferences, based on the point in the cycle that we were born. Our universe looks like it's fractaline in nature. It seems like 'all that is' is produced on some sort of formula, repeating itself in cycles over and over, but with variation, so that creation can learn and experience itself based on a set of parameters, a formula, experiencing everything there is to experience. If you take all the people in the world and look at how everyone's faces are a little different, and yet we're all human beings, it's like the Mandelbrot set repeating itself over and over but with all those variations. We are all varied and unique, each of us is different, yet we're all fundamentally the same. It seems like we're produced from the formula of a fractal. In terms of experience, reality providing catalyst and experience for us, perhaps fractals provide opportunities rather than dictating outcomes; because there are infinite experiences to be had. There are certain experiences, like going on a boat trip, climbing a mountain, or painting a painting; the concept of those activities are the same, yet you don't know what you're going to actually get. For example; going on a trip to Africa and having a map, you know where you're going but when you actually get there, there will be variations in your experience compared to the experiences of other people. It seems like experiences are fractaline in nature, fractaline in the code of our reality. ![]() Consciousness too seems fractal in nature. We're all at different levels of progression, we're all a little different, we have different personalities and so on. Also, if you look at land formations, they're generally the same but with lots of variation. Mountains appear fractal in nature, generally the same according to our natural laws, but with lots of variation. So you see, we have the universe and various universes, divided into galaxies, divided into solar systems; with suns and planets. It's the same pattern repeating over and over again, yet each solar system is unique. It seems like reality could be based on a fractaline sort of, auto generator. If creation is one infinitely intelligent being, existing to learn and experience itself, fractals might provide infinite variations of that experience within certain parameters. Parameters unique perhaps to each and every universe or entire cycle of existence. Leave me and others a comment below to what you think about what you've observed in reality that reminds you of fractals, and how you feel when you look at fractals. Do they trigger something for you? Some sort of innate remembering coming from your soul? |
